CANTON, Mass., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OneBeacon Professional Insurance, a member of OneBeacon Insurance Group (NYSE: OB), today announced that Senior Vice President of Lawyers' and Real Estate Professional Liability, Kim Noble Pihlstrom, will be a speaker at the 21(st) Annual Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) International Conference on Thursday, November 12 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in Chicago, IL.
Pihlstrom will join a panel of five leading industry professionals to discuss "Who Wants to be an Error & Omissions Underwriter in This Environment?" Said Pihlstrom, "Recent economic conditions have altered the underwriting approach of professional business. In our session, we will discuss E&O claims trends and other issues affecting profitability. The discussion will center around the dangers and pitfalls of underwriting in adverse economic times." In addition to discussing E&O claims trends and the difficulties of underwriting in a challenging economy, the panel will also address collateral exposure issues that may exist in professional liability.
The Professional Liability Underwriting Society is a nonprofit organization established in 1986 to support and enrich the careers of the professional liability underwriting community.
